Your information.
Claim Back is a Lapla SI project, operated by Random Walk, a company in Japan. This page says what we collect when you use claimback.lapla.si, why, who sees it, and how to have it deleted. Questions go to contact@lapla.si.
01What we collect
- The letter and documents you upload, and any answer from your plan that you upload later.
- Your email address.
- If you accept an offer: whose letter it is, whether you can act for them, how urgent it is, and any note you write.
- When you approve an appeal: the enrollee’s name and member ID, your name, phone number, mailing address and relationship to the enrollee, your answers to the questions in the letter, and your signature.
- The technical logs our host keeps for security, such as IP addresses.
02Why we use it
To read your letter and tell you what it says; to write your appeal and, if you ask us to, fax it to your plan in your name; to email you about your letter and your case; and to send you a link to pay, if you choose a paid service.
We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use it for advertising.
03Who sees it
People on our team who work on your letter. Today a person reads every letter; before we use AI tools to help, we will say so on this page first.
The services we use to run Claim Back, only to provide their service to us: Cloudflare, which hosts the site and stores your files; our fax service, when we fax your appeal; and our payment provider, when you pay.
Your health plan, which receives the appeal and documents you approve when we fax them for you. We share information otherwise only if the law requires it.
04Where it is kept, and for how long
Your files and case are stored with Cloudflare in North America, encrypted in transit and at rest.
We keep them until you ask us to delete them. Write to contact@lapla.si from the email address you used, and we will delete your documents and details within 30 days and tell you when it’s done. We keep payment records where the law requires it.
05Cookies
